Drawing, showing a fully detailed side elevation view of the engine and tender, to a scale of one hundredth full size, with principal dimensions, weights, and brief specifications given below. 5.75” x 8.5”, blue on white print of the official Etat Belge drawing. Issued in 1910. Terminology is in French. These are particularly nice pieces, not the usual outline diagram. This and that following will please greatly, they are in very fine condition.

236-0701. Churnet Valley Railway, from Hester, via Macclesfield, to Derby. Prospectus. Capital, GBP.1,000,000 in GBP.20 Shares. Solicitors, Messrs Worthington & Hamilton, Manchester, and Messrs. Berridge & Macaulay, Leicester. 1844. 15.5" x 9.5", 3 pages which include a map of the project, showing existing railways and other proposed schemes. To commence at the terminus of the Macclesfield Branch of the Manchester and Birmingham Railway at Macclesfield, and proceed by way of Leek, Cheadle, Rocester, and Uttoxeter, to a point on the Birmingham and Derby Railway, about two miles from Derby. The engineer for this project was George Watson Buck. The Prospectus includes a form of application for Shares in the Company. Exciting history, the line was built and later became the North Staffordshire Railway. Folded, in very fine condition..

First edition in this form. It was first published in "Private Eye" during 1993. 8.25" x 5.75", pictorial light card cover. 64 pages illustrated by several sketch drawings. This is a humorous story and it is made clear that it does not reflect the views of the Reverend W. Awdry or his publishers. There is a short Foreward by Ian Hislop, the Editor of Private Eye. Near mint condition.

A collection of cuttings taken from a railway staff magazine, published during the 1930’s, showing a photographic illustration of 106 different stations and giving the name of the Station Master and his predecessors. Danish text. On 84 pieces each 4” x 8”, some double sided. The station buildings are featured in each case, a very useful historic record. All in generally very fine condition.

The official rolling stock list, covering passenger, goods, special and private stock, giving numbers, type, major dimensions, types of accommodation or capacity, equipment and any route restrictions, etc. This is a particularly good date showing the extent of carriages and wagons before the outbreak of the first world war. Cover shows age but content is in fine condition, complete and without damage.
