236-0757. Glasgow and South Western Railway Locomotive No. 74. Designed by James Mason, built at Kilmarnock Works in 1894. Engraved Drawing by C. Trent, first published in The Railway Engineer during the nineteenth century. This being a re-printing made from the original inscribed plates for Hugh Evelyn Limited, London, in 1964. 10" x 17", on substantial paper with blank verso. Showing a detailed perspective drawing of the 4-4-0 engine and six wheel tender standing in a full left side view; toning and shading is most effectively used with superb fine artistry. Below the illustration is a title and brief specifications of the locomotive. Most suited to be mounted and framed. Very fine condition.
