With a decorative border and incorporating an attractive vignette showing an allegorical figure standing between a steam railway locomotive and a steam ship at a dockside. The Certificate has been cancelled with perforation punches. Nice piece. Very fine condition.

Bound annually into 20 volumes, all in publishers cloth boards, 10.75" x 7.5" and later 11.5" x 8.25". All with title page and annual index, having a total of 216 + 11,614 pages each illustrated by very many photos and many drawings and diagrams + various plates a few of which in colour. German text. All pages relate to contemporary design and practice of the company and descriptions of work carried out. Throughout this period the Siemens group was in the forefront of all aspects in development of the electrical industry and involved in power generation equipment and distribution systems, railway electrification, including several underground networks, motive power units, trams, trolley-buses, telephones and communication systems, all manner of machinery and domestic appliances, etcetera.The pictures show detailed views of the equipment produced as well as showing various parts of the company factories and the machinery used to produce the goods. A most important account of this famous company and a history of the electrical industry in general. These came from the library of F.J.G. Haut, the electrical engineer, author and consultant for the London Docklands Railway. His bookplete is shown and there are the rubber stamped names of some various German Technical Libraries on the free end papers of some volumes. These are seldom to be found on offer. All bindings show signs of wear and are age grubby but the books are tight with the content in generally fine condition. They will please.
