We welcome you to our July 2007 YesRail Catalogue. Each catalogue has a serial number and this and the item number should be given when ordering or making an inquiry. Telephoned orders may be made at any time, one of us is available to give personal attention on most days from 9-00 a.m. to 9-00 p.m. At all other times our answerphone will take your message. Alternatively you can contact us by E-mail, Fax or use the letter Post.

We produce eight different catalogues per year together with a January Sale issue, they will come out at six week intervals. We will as usual give a delightful mix of material in each catalogue and back this up with the excellent customer service you would want and expect. Goods will be carefully packaged and dispatched within seven working days of receiving your order.

Be sure to check our Terms of Business before making an order. Postage of up to GBP. 2-00 is inclusive in any order from our catalogues that comes to a total of GBP. 25-00 or more for goods after any discount that may be due, otherwise or beyond this postage is at cost.

Patentees Publicity Drawing, showing a steam locomotive that incorporated the Adams Bogie. By the Sole Licensee Geo. Spencer & Co., London. Circa 1890s. Lithographed on cartridge paper, 6.25" x 12", to a scale of one-quarter of an inch to one foot. Showing a semi-detailed side elevation drawing of the engine with major dimensions and brief specifications. Very nice. Fine condition.

231-2325. AHRONS, E.L. The British Steam Railway Locomotive, 1825-1925. The Locomotive Publishing Company Limited, London. 1927. First Edition. 11.25" x 8.75", cloth boards with gilt title on spine and cover, in a torn and frayed wrapper. Frontis plate + (8) + 391 pages with 473 photos and drawings in text. A very detailed work on the various aspects of the history of locomotive design and development, which includes a short biography of the engineer author. This is recognized as an important standard work on the subject, a major historical enterprise, indeed it is one of only two titles referred to as such by Jack Simmons in his foreward to the first edition of "A Bibliography of British Railway History" by George Ottley, where the book is listed as item 2849. This original edition is now very scarce and this copy will delight as being in very fine condition.

The Warrant which is the Company Cheque is for the amount of Four-shillings & Four-pence, it has not been cancelled. Generally fine condition.

The journal of the Association, covering the Proceedings, Papers and Discussion, relating to the technical aspects of railway civil engineering. In particular to the making and maintenance of permanent way, and development of equipment used in this. These volumes have lengthy reports on Impact and Bridge Stresses, Wood Bridges and Trestles, Track, Rail, Roadway and Ballast, Iron and Steel Structures, Yards and Terminals, etcetera. Very fine condition.

Uniform Badge, in commemoration of the Company Half-Century. 1" x 0.75" white-metal lapel-badge, showing a train on high viaduct in mountains, with "B.L.S." and white cross in red shield below. Complete with red and black ribbon with the dates "1913-1963". All in very fine condition.

231-2338. The Blackpool Electric Tramways (South) Limited. 9 Central Beach Parade, Blackpool. Large Headed Letter. 11.75" x 8.25", blue on white and incorporating three vignettes, each showing a street scene with a tramcar and passengers. Written with a typed letter in 1901, regarding the likely success of a new issue Preference Shares and Debenture Stock in the Company. An excellent early heading. Starting to split at some folds but no loss of content.
