Together with "The Old Viaduct." 4" x 9", taken from below with a train crossing; and "Accrington." 4" x 9", a wide view of the industrialized area with the railway viaduct in middle distance. Including a text article. Very good history. This is without folds and in fine condition.

Text in French, printed script. This has an interesting layout of passenger accommodation.
233-3746. "The Fairfield Railway Steam-Carriage." Wood Engraved Drawing. Picture size 4" x 9", on an extracted page of The Illustrated London News. 26th November 1848, 15.5" x 10.5". Showing the broad gauge machine which has six wheels, two of which are driving. It was built for the Bristol and Exeter Railway and first tested on the duel gauge West London line. Including a text article, part of which is on a clipping from another page. Good history. This is without folds and in fine condition.

Time Table, 3rd July to 23rd Sept, 1939, inclusive. 10.25" x 7.75", 2 sides, black on green. Including a map showing the railway, the full timetable, details of fares, and description of the line and the area. I think this delightful and most interesting railway that was built for the carriage of slate, has been described in a quite nauseating manner in this advertising sheet but nevertheless this is an excellent piece of history. Very fine condition.
