243-0102. The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Proposition for Membership. Form No. 18. 9" x 6", 2 sides. Written in 1909 for a locomotive engineer of two years experience on the D.L. and W. Railroad, and residing in the City of Seranton. It includes the names of three Proposing Brothers. A locomotive engineer is the American terminology for an engine driver. The form has a small vignette at its head showing a 4-4-0 locomotive and 8 wheel tender. A nice piece.

For Engine Works No. 1150, as specified by and constructed for the Caledonian Railway Company, by Sharp Stewart & Co. Limited, Atlas Works, Glasgow. Drawing dated 22nd December 1899. 23" x 24". Black ink on linen backed cartridge paper, in full size with detailed external views in side and front elevations, and plan. Showing major dimensions and brief constructional notes. This is the master drawing from which printed copies were made as needed. A collectable unique piece. Without damage. We will send it rolled.

243-0106. Canadian National Railways, "Northern Type" Locomotive (4-8-4). Illustrated Postcard. An official Canadian National Railways card, printed on the verso "Cunard Steamship Co. Ltd. New Street, Birmingham." the card being issued for sale on Cunard liners on the North American service. 3.5" x 5.5". Showing a photographic view of the giant locomotive No. 6100 posed as newly built, right front view, with three small children standing close to one of the cylinders. Superb history. Unused. A slight crease on one corner, otherwise fine condition.

These are original printings. 20.5" x 15.25", showing a detailed external drawing of the locomotive in side and front elevations, to a scale of one-fiftieth. With dimensions, weights, and a lengthy list of principle specifications, company numbers, name of constructor and year. French text. Folded. These will delight in very fine condition.

243-0132. Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad Company. Certificate of Common Stock of Shares of Fifty Dollars each, written for 38 Shares. Issued in 1899, signed by all concerned parties. 7" x 11.5", 2 sides. Engraved in an ornate style in green and black on white quality paper by the "Franklin-Lee Bank Note Co., New York." Incorporating a nice vignette showing a 4-4-0 locomotive running into a station on train with several people waiting on the platform; black labourers handling a large bale of cotton. There are gummed Revenue Stamps of 25 cents and 5 cents affixed, which rubber stamped. The Certificate is Cancelled by perforated punch and further holes punched in a signature. Great American history. Generally fine condition.
