Written for Twenty Five Pounds, signed and dated 15th March 1849. For which the late payment drew an additional charge of seven shillings and one penny. This is a particularly nice piece. Very scarce. Generally fine condition.

A quality technical magazine concerned with all aspects of design and construction of electric railways and electric motive power, mostly German, Austrian and Swiss, but also the railways and practice of other countries. 246-1899. Ferrocarril de Tudela a Bilbao. Locomotive No. 48, "Fuenmayor". 4-4-0 Tank with Bissel truck, built by Beyer, Peacock & Co. Manchester, 1862. Official Real Photograph. 7.5" x 14.5". A contemporary print, showing the engine posed as newly turned out and unpainted, left side. This is of particular interest as the design is a direct ancestor of the Metropolitan Railway (London) standard tank of that period. A nice early photograph, suited for framing.

Engraved with the Railway Company and Bank Names in brown on cream. Incorporating an embossed One Penny Revenue Stamp. The cheque has been cashed, rubber stamped by the bank on presentation and had three holes punched. Nice history. Fine condition.
