246-2138. Natchez & Hamburg Railroad. Locomotive engine "Mississippi" built 1836/8. A photographic cutting extracted from an unknown technical periodical maybe circa 1915. 5" x 6.75". Showing the four-coupled two cylinder engine which has a large open sided cabin that covers right up to the smokebox, with its four-wheeled tender, posed in a right side view. This is laid down on card 8" x 10". Although not marked as such this came sometime from the archives of E.L. Ahrons, the locomotive engineer.

Registered Bond of five thousand dollars, issued in February 1923. Impressed with the Company Seal and signed by all required parties. 9" x 13.5", 2 sides. Engraved in an ornate style in green and black on white quality paper by the "Franklin Bank Note Co., New York." Incorporating an excellent vignette showing the large surface buildings of a mine with three steam locomotives in the foreground among trains of loaded mineral wagons. The Bond has been "Cancelled in August 1944" by rubber stamping and by holes punched neatly across the piece. Very nice, most impressive, in very fine condition.
