The Catalogues
We produce eight different
catalogues every year together with a January Sale issue, they come out at
roughly six week intervals. The listing is alphabetical but items may be under
various headings, it is always worthwhile to check right through the catalogue
for your particular requirements. However, the material shown here is only part
of our current stock in hand so please enquire about any other of your railway
wants.
Each
catalogue will have an excellent selection of quality items including in print
and out of print Books both ancient and recent, with those that are Published,
Private, Official and General. Together with Booklets, Pamphlets, Reports,
Documents, Administrative Material and Original Manuscripts. Acts, Bills, Plans
and Sections. Guides, Maps, Gazetteers, Posters, Brochures, Handbills, Tickets,

Description of Goods
All
the material on offer has had a previous owner and we have strived to be
accurate in describing it. Unless otherwise stated all items are complete and
in very good condition, which means that they are without damage but showing
reasonable and expected signs of use conducive with the age and purpose of the
piece. Any additional defect is noted, as are outstanding qualities. Standard
trade terms for condition are used, which in a descending order are: As New or
Mint, Very Fine, Fine, and Very Good.
Star items are those that
have the one or more attribute of being either, very hard to come by, of having
particularly good content or quality, of being in outstandingly nice condition,
or of being at an attractive price. Sizes are given in a length times breadth
form in inches. The Ottley numbers comply with the listing in "A
Bibliography of British Railway History" by George Ottley; the Alsop
numbers with that in "The Official Railway Postcard Book" by John
Alsop.
The
listing is alphabetical but items may be under various headings, it is always
likely to be worthwhile in checking right through the catalogue for your
requirements.
